Bedrooms

There are seven bedrooms in the house: three in the older part of the house, three in the main part of the house and one in the pigeonnier/dovecote, which is a separate building.

The older part of the house, built in the 1750s, is a lovely rustic cottage with thick stone walls. There are three bedrooms up a small twisty staircase, a bathroom with shower, and a separate toilet. Two of the bedrooms have double beds, and one has twin beds.

The main part of the house is built in a classic 1850s Girondine mansion style,  as you will have seen from the photographs. There are three double bedrooms on the first floor, all looking south over the gardens towards the river, and two bathrooms. The master bedroom is the most spacious, with a dressing room and a large ensuite bathroom. The other two bedrooms are also handsome, and have high ceilings and tall windows.

The seventh bedroom is in the freestanding pigeonnier, a cosy retreat in French vintage style with a double bed.  It is situated just opposite the cottage, and occupants can share the bathrooms and toilet facilities in the cottage or the main house.
